Runners

The Young 7th Grader I wish I could have a 10th of the determination this little kid had! There are names written on that wall. I looked up and wanted to be among them. In the High School cafeteria, there were names of the best runners in our School History. I wanted to be among them. I worked harder than any of them. I called many of these Heros and asked them how they came to do what they did. I visited them at their houses and milked them for all the running advice they could give me... about what made them great. The young man pictured above gave his all. He diligently studied his Bible for self-encouragement much like he shouldered loads upwards of the 235 pounds pictured here. He read the proverbs to gain wisdom. He stored up strength both naturally and spiritually for the days that demanded such.
